In a world where technology is constantly changing, innovated and renewed, we have to be able to adapt.
We have to be able to explore new territories constantly, kind of like exploring other, new worlds.

Hi! My name is Lotte, I am 28 years old and currently studying part-time at Codam coding college. Codam has a new way of learning! With peer-to-peer, gamified, project-based learning, you do not only just learn how to code, but also how to learn to learn.
Beside Codam, I'm currently working together with 42Wolfsburg to give more people the option to study programming in the way that I have. 42 Wolfsburg is a sister-school of Codam, part of the 42 Network.
Before Codam, I graduated as a Media Designer: Game Artist at Media College Amsterdam.
I've been working with 42 Wolfsburg since October 2020. I started as a Software Engineer Intern and was present to start the first building blocks that made this school what it is today.
Currently I am a proud member of the Pedago and Tech team, aiding the school remotely to ensure the students have the best experience possible even before they enter the school.
From September 2019 till August 2020, I took my first steps as a software engineer into the real world as a Junior Developer.
As a finance company RS Finance uses big databases full of data for your finances. While working here I gained excessive experience in working with API's. Writing programs to request, check and update data into other databases that use mssql.
During my studies at Mediacollege Amsterdam I had the opportunity to do partake in two internships, one of those was at Viacom International Media Networks.
As a Social Media Designer intern I was tasked with
creating content for the social media of MTV, Spike, Nickelodeon and Comedy Central. Not only for the Netherlands but also for various countries in the
Southern and Western Europe, Middle East and Africa (SWEMEA) area.

My first internship for Mediacollege Amsterdam I did at a small startup by the name of Banana Apps / Jogo Jogo Games.
Here I worked as an Artist and Animator in a team of ten people. In the span of half a year we created more than thirty mobile/app games for children for children of the ages of three to five.

2013 - 2017
At Mediacollege Amsterdam, I've learned to work with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash and 3D engines like Cinema 4D, to create assets for Video Games. Working alongside Game Developers in teams to create multiple games in Unity and other game engines.
During the official opening of Codam back in 2019 I had the honour to present our school's curriculum to Her Majesty Queen Máxima.
In March 2023 I was interviewed by Codam as to what it's like to study at Codam and how I feel about being a woman in a male-dominated tech-world.
In September 2022, I was a speaker at the Women In Games Festival alongside Ruth Falconer, Rhoda Daly and Dr Hanan Makki.
We talked about Education for Women in Games, sharing our knowledge and future ideas on how to tackle the gender minority gap in tech education.
